Data Analysis Portfolio Project: Life Expectancy vs GDP in 6 Countries

This research was conducted to discover any correlation between GDP and Life expectancy. Data was collected from 6 countries, including Chile, China, Germany, Mexico, the U.S., and Zimbabwe.
Below, the distributions of GDP and life expectancy in the 6 countries are shown. Because GDP and life expectancy are not normally distributed, the two variables are compared in each country individually.


The two figures below show life expectancy and GDP over time in each country. Both show slight increases over time.


Finally, GDP is compared to life expectancy in each country in the 6 scatterplots below.






Based on the figures above, we can conclude that GDP and life expectancy are positively correlated.
